The Tenth Circle is about the lengths a parent will go to to keep their child safe. In the aftermath of their daughter's rape, a family struggles to hold themselves together, all asking the questions, "What could I have done differently?", and "What sort of person am I really?". Truth and lies become blurred and actions are judged by town-folk as well as each other.
Jodi Piccoult tells a sad tale that highlights the fact that there is a hidden monster in us all, but what will it take to bring that monster out...?
The Tenth Circle was an easy and entertaining read, dealing with a difficult subject. I give this book 3 and a half stars.
